Barrett backs Brady

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
April 28, 2022

TORONTO – Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Toby Barrett, who has announced he will not be running in the 2022 provincial election, has endorsed Independent Candidate Bobbi Ann Brady as his successor.

“Bobbi Ann Brady is an honest, just and upright person who has helped thousands of people during her 23 years managing my offices across Haldimand-Norfolk and Toronto. It’s no wonder so many people have been asking her to run,” Barrett explained. “She’s the one, the only one, to speak for us, to represent us, and to offer hope for the future. I’m backing Bobbi Ann for MPP and she’s going to win!”

In addition to serving as Barrett’s Executive Assistant for the past 23 years, Brady has served as President of the Haldimand-Norfolk Progressive Conservative Association for 20 years, and campaign manager for Barrett’s last five election wins. Bobbi Ann has been recognized by the Ontario PC Party as Outstanding Campaign Manager and Outstanding Riding Association President.

Bobbi Ann is a well-known athlete, played both boys’ and girls’ hockey and has a brown belt in karate. She has represented Canada on the world stage as a provincial and national gold medalist in the sport of kickboxing.

“Bobbi Ann is a competitor and a fighter in hockey or martial arts, or as an advocate for constituents dealing with the Ontario Government,” Barrett went on to say. “I have worked with Bobbi very closely, on a daily basis, for 23 years. She has consistently, enthusiastically, and successfully fought for so many people and families to get them a fair shake in dealing with government . . . people who were often at the end of the rope and had no where else to turn.

“Bobbi Ann provides hope for the future and, as a person of loyalty and integrity, is truly representative of our cherished rural, small town way of life. Bobbi Ann fights for what’s right.”
