April 27, 2022 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“Interests of local people are top priority”
DUNNVILLE- Bobbi Ann Brady has entered the 2022 Provincial Election Campaign as the Independent candidate for Haldimand-Norfolk. Brady filed her nomination papers with Elections Ontario and has been approved.
Brady, from Delhi, has worked for MPP Toby Barrett for 23 years as his Executive Assistant. Barrett said Brady has helped many thousands of area people and is masterful at taking issues to Queen’s Park and getting problems resolved. “
“I know locals are worried about their future, about the future of their children and grandchildren,”” Brady said. “”People have lost faith and they are offered very little hope from those who are in charge. “
“Nurses feel disrespected, small business and farm families can’t do what they love because there’s still too much red tape,”” the candidate explained. “”Ontario must also do better for the vulnerable in our communities. “
“Locally there are housing development issues that could have significant impacts on both Haldimand and Norfolk. People continually tell me they like our area the way it is and they are tired of government trying to make it something different,”” continued Brady.
Outside her professional life, Brady has long given back to her community through amateur sports, volunteer organizations, and charity events. She truly believes volunteering is a great way to broaden perceptions of the world while also enriching the lives of those around us. Before serving the public, Brady was a writer and editor of an area small-town newspaper. Both callings have given her an appreciation for the struggles and challenges people face daily. Brady understands everyone has a story deserving to be heard. She listens to locals and knows government works for them, not the other way around.
At Queen’s Park, Brady has a reputation of being assertive yet professional, but make no mistake, the people she works for are in Haldimand-Norfolk – they come first.
Brady is a graduate of Delhi District Secondary School and has a diploma in Broadcast Journalism. She spent several years working on farms, in retail settings, and is a small-business owner and freelance journalist. Over the years, Brady has traveled the province, lending her expertise to political campaigns. Locally, she was Toby Barrett’’s Campaign Manager five times and has been instrumental in local federal campaigns. The Ontario PC Party has recognized her twice as Outstanding Campaign Manager and Outstanding Riding Association President.
Brady has been a provincial and national gold medalist in the sport of kickboxing and has represented Canada on the world stage. When Brady is not solving a problem or lending a hand to someone in need, she can be found in arenas, playing or spectating, or in the dojo where she is working toward her black belt in karate. She also enjoys cycling and working outside on her rural property. An avid reader, Brady enjoys unwinding at the end of the day with a good novel rich in history, mystery, and memory. Brady lives in the quaint village of Lynedoch and has two children, Addison and Carter.
